Your Child’s Visit

When should my child first visit the dentist?

By age one, or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits build comfort and let us monitor development.

Can I stay with my child during the appointment?

Yes for the first visit. For future visits, many kids do best independently—but you’re welcome if your child prefers.

How long will the first visit take?

Usually 30–45 minutes, depending on your child’s needs and comfort.

How often should my child see the dentist?

Every six months for checkups, cleanings, and growth monitoring.

Comfort & Sedation

What if my child is anxious or afraid?

We use kid-first language, tell-show-do, and positive reinforcement to help them feel safe and in control.

Do you offer sedation options?

Yes—nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation when appropriate, with careful monitoring.

Appointments & Scheduling

What is your appointment policy?

Please provide 24 hours’ notice to reschedule so we can offer your time to another family.

Are dental appointments excused absences from school?

Yes. We’ll provide a school note on request.

Insurance & Payment

Do you accept dental insurance?

We file most plans electronically as a courtesy. You’re responsible for any portion not covered by your plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, debit cards, personal checks, and most major credit cards. Flexible payment plans are available.

Emergencies & After-Hours Care

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us right away. We reserve same-day slots for urgent needs. For severe injuries after hours, visit the ER.

Do you handle after-hours emergencies?

Call (214) 416-8700 and follow the prompts. If life-threatening, dial 911.
